From John McCain

I will offer no opinion on this.

Today, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 777.68 after news that the House of Representatives did not pass the $700 billion bailout plan. In reaction from this,  John McCain's people had this to say:

"This bill failed because Barack Obama and the Democrats put politics ahead of country," said a statement from Douglas Holtz-Eakin, McCain's top economic adviser, who had represented McCain on Capitol Hill over the several days.

In the final vote tally it was 133 Republicans and 95 Democrats voting to not pass the bill.

While I have no comment, I will ask one question though: Who would John McCain appoint to the treasury if he wins? (hint, read the quote again)
